2019 All-CCIW Women's Tennis Team

Oct. 31, 2019 – The North Central College women's tennis team is represented with multiple selections to the 2019 All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) women's tennis teams, as Hannah Hougland and Alaina Kanthaphixay earned the distinction for the second consecutive season.

Hougland was named to the first team this season, adding to her second team and newcomer of the year awards in 2018.  Hougland turned in a 7-1 record playing at No. 1 singles all season, with her lone loss coming at the hands of CCIW champion and conference Player of the Year Annie Timm of Augustana College.

Earning her second-straight second team honor, Kanthaphixay turned in a 5-3 record over conference play at the No. 2 position and finished third at the CCIW Championships.

The duo also combined to go 7-1 in conference play at the No. 1 doubles position, while posting a runner-up finish at the CCIW Championships.

North Central finished the fall season with an overall record of 8-2, finishing in fourth-place in the final conference standings, locking up the fourth-seed in the CCIW Automatic Qualifier Tournament this April.
