Women's Soccer Selected for Team Academic Award

2018-19 United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award Winners

Oct. 7, 2019 - The North Central College women's soccer team has been selected as a 2018-19 United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award winner, announced this week by the organization.

To receive the award, each school has to maintain a 3.0 grade point average for during the 2018-19 academic year. There were 648 women's team that received the award for last year.

The Cardinals received the award with a 3.55 GPA last year while recording a 7-9-1 record on the pitch, narrowly missing the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) tournament. Thus far in the 2019 season, the Cardinals own a 6-4-1 record and are 2-0 in the CCIW. This is the first time the Cardinals have won the USC Team Academic Award since 2010-11.

Other CCIW schools to receive the award are Augustana College, Elmhurst College, Illinois Wesleyan University, and Millikin University.
