WHEATON, Ill. (Apr. 16, 2019) – Showing no ill effects from competing only a few days prior, the North Central College men's track and field tallied three first-place finishes on its way to a 72-point victory at the Wheaton College Don Church Twilight Meet, despite keeping many of its top athletes back.
The first-ranked Cardinals compiled 177 points to finish well ahead of the host Thunder, with 105, and Carroll University, who finished with 97 points.
Gavin Cernek led North Central's sweep of the top three places in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.61, followed closely by
Kyle Hilton (56.68) and

North Central finished 2-3 in a pair of events on the day.

Nick Janca in the high jump (6'5.5"),
Liam Sullivan in the shotput (47'9") and
Elijah Green in the discus (141'9").

Chris Buechner in the 1500 (3:57.30) and
