CCIW Players of the Week
Apr. 30, 2019 – After being named to the All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) First Team hours earlier, North Central College junior goalkeeper
Dylan Cost earned a second conference honor as the Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Cost had a tremendous final three games of the season, first scooping up a team-high eight ground balls and 15 saves in the Cardinals' 6-5 overtime win at the University of Dubuque and followed that performance with 15 more saves and eight ground balls in the team's 13-12 OT loss to Carthage College in the season finale. Cost made 149 saves this season and is the program's career leader in saves with 335.
This is the fourth CCIW Player of the Week honor for the Cardinals as
Jacob Ray won Defensive Player of the Week on Mar. 11 and
Tommy Huizinga and
Steven Faux swept the awards the following week on Mar. 18.
North Central concluded its third season with an overall record of 9-5 and a 3-4 record in CCIW play.
