2019 IMLCA All-West Region Teams
June 12, 2019 - For the first time in its three-year history, the North Central College men's lacrosse program is represented on the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) NCAA Division III All-West Region Team, as junior midfielder Tommy Huizinga is an Honorable Mention selection to this year's list of honorees.
A participant in all 44 of the Cardinals' games in the program's first three seasons, Huizinga started 10 games in 2019 and ranked second on the team in goals (35) and assists (18). He was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Player of the Week on Mar. 18 after piling up six goals and two assists in consecutive victories over Trine University (7-4) and La Roche College (18-1), and earned Second Team All-CCIW honors.
Huizinga has totaled 84 goals and 42 assists in his collegiate career and ranks third in the program's young history in both categories. The Cardinals finished with an overall record of 9-5 in 2019, marking their second-highest single-season win total thus far.
