CCIW Release
Feb. 25, 2020 – Coming on the heels of a six-point performance in the team's season opening victory, North Central College men's lacrosse freshman attackman Riley Bachinski has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Player of the Week. The CCIW announced its latest selections on Tuesday.
Bachinski made his mark in his first-ever lacrosse game as a Cardinal, finishing with four goals and two assists and led all players in goals, points, and shots on target (8). The Minnesota-native helped give North Central some breathing room before halftime by finding the back of the net twice in the final twenty seconds of the half. Bachinski also recorded three groundballs during the game.
This is the seventh CCIW Athlete of the Week award in program history and the third bestowed upon an offensive player.
North Central (1-0) begins a three-game road trip on Feb. 29 with a non-conference game against Pfeiffer University (1-0). Game time at N.E. Lefko Field is set for noon Eastern. Live stats are available HERE.
