Men's Soccer Ranked 14th in National Poll

United Soccer Coaches' Region VIII 

Oct. 12, 2021 - The North Central College men's soccer team was ranked fifth in the United Soccer Coaches' Region VIII rankings and 14th in the D3soccer.com Top 25 this week before their College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) matchup against Illinois Wesleyan University. 

The Cardinals improved to 13-0-1 (3-0-1 CCIW)  last week as they took down Augustana University Vikings 5-2. Their win against the Vikings kept the Cardinals unbeaten on the season and is the longest unbeaten streak in program history. 

The Cardinals moved down one spot in this week's Regional Rankings from fourth to fifth. Ahead of the Cardinals this week are Hope College in fourth, Calvin University in third, University of Chicago in second and Washington University (Mo.) claiming the top spot once again. 

D3soccer.com released their fourth ranking of the season and the Cardinals have been ranked each week, this week they come in at No. 14. Ahead of the Cardinals are University of Chicago, Washington University (Mo.), Calvin University, Emory University, Montclair State University, Amherst College, Johns Hopkins University and Trinity University (Texas). 

Washington & Lee University remained on top of this week's rankings with Messiah College in second, Tufts University in third, Ohio Wesleyan University in fourth and New York University in fifth. 

The Cardinals (13-0-1, 3-0-1 CCIW) look to remain unbeaten in conference play as they travel to Blommington, Ill. to take on the Titans of Illinois Wesleyan University. The match is set to start at 7:00 pm inside Neis Field. Click HERE for live coverage of tonight's game.
