InterMat Wrestling Rankings

Naperville, Ill. (Dec. 7th, 2021) - In the third edition of InterMat Wrestling Division III rankings, the North Central College men's wrestling team is ranked second in Division III behind Wartburg College. Along with being ranked second as a team, six individual Cardinals are ranked for their respective weight class.

Junior Robert Precin is currently ranked first by InterMat Wrestling for the 133-pound weight class. Precin is undefeated on the season posting a record of 13-0. Precin currently has ten wins by decision, one by major decision, and two pins. Freshman Javen Estrada, is currently ranked second in the 141-pound weight class. Estrada leads the team in pins on the season with eight, 

Cole Cervantes enters the 157-pound for the first time this season and is tied for second on the team for wins by decision with seven. 

Sophomore Alex Villar is ranked third in the 149-pound weight class. On the season Villar has a 14-1 record on the season while placing third at the Concordia Open and first at the Pointer Open. 

Brock Montford and Cody Baldridge are also ranked for their respective weight class by InterMat Wrestling. Montford is ranked tenth in the 184-pound weight class, posting a 5-1 record overall. Baldridge is ranked third in the 197-pound weight class with three wins by decision, two wins by major decision, and one tech. fall. 

The men's wrestling team (3-2, 3-0) returns to the mats December 11th as they host the 57th Annual North Central College Invitational. The meet is set to begin at 9am.
