Feb. 9, 2021 - The North Central College men's track and field team swept its first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Athlete of the Week honors for 2021, with distance runner

Kendall Johnson receiving this week's awards. The CCIW announced this week's honorees on Tuesday.
Pommier earned the conference's Track Athlete of the Week after posting a time of 4:13.29 to win the mile run in the season opener dual with Wheaton College at Al. B. Carius Track on Saturday. Pommier's time ranks first in the CCIW and fourth nationally among NCAA Division III competitors.
Johnson was named the CCIW Field Athlete of the Week after turning in a leap of 46 feet, 7.50 inches (14.21 meters) in the triple jump. Johnson's mark ranks first among the CCIW this season and is currently leading the NCAA Division III in the triple jump.
The Cardinals will host Elmhurst University in a dual competition on Friday, Feb. 19 at the Al B. Carius Track. Competition is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
