CCIW Press Release

Apr. 6, 2021 - The North Central College men's track and field team secured its first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Athlete of the Week honor for the 2021 outdoor season, with Jamauri Spivery claiming the track athlete of the week honor after his performance at the First Chance Meet hosted by North Central.

In the outdoor season debut within Benedetti-Wherli Stadium, Spivery stole away with the 100-meter dash win, crossing the line in a personal-best time of 10.85 seconds. Spivery earned a spot in North Central's outdoor top 10, sitting at No. 5 in the program's history. Spivery turned in the fastest time in the event in nearly two decades, since Matt Moran '02 in 2001.

Spivery's performance currently ranks first in the CCIW and 16th on the NCAA Division III national list.

The Cardinals are scheduled to compete at the Benedictive University Invitational in Lisle, Ill. on Friday.
