Apr. 7, 2021 – North Central College men's tennis player Javier Suarez Balsera has been named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Wednesday.
 
Suarez Balsera went 2-0 against CCIW competition on the week, scoring a 6-3, 6-1 win at the No. 1 singles position over Millikin University's Jacob Palley on Apr. 2, before teaming up with Ramon Vilarroig Martinez at No. 2 doubles to take down Clayton Maack and Holden Owens, 8-6.
 
The Cardinals are off to a 2-0 start in conference play, as Suarez Balsera is 2-0 in both singles and doubles play so far this season.
 
North Central (6-4, 2-0 CCIW) returns to CCIW play on Saturday, Apr. 10 at Elmhurst University with matches scheduled for 11 a.m. at Brune Tennis Courts.
