2021 CoSIDA Academic All-District Softball Teams

July 1, 2021 –
Awarded for prowess on the field and in the classroom, North Central College softball's Emily Miller earned NCAA Division III Academic All-District honors for the second straight season, released by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.

A 2020 CoSIDA Third Team Academic All-American, Miller has twice been named to the Academic All-District Team (2020, 2021).  Miller earned Academic All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) all four years in a Cardinal uniform and was the 2020 CCIW Merle Chapman Leadership Award recipient.

On the field, Miller earned Second Team All-America honors by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) in 2018, and was a two-time NFCA All-Region selection and three-time All-CCIW selection.

Miller ranks in the program's career top-five in multiple categories, including second in doubles (47) and batting average (.423), while also ranking fourth in fielding percentage (.989) and putouts among outfielders (166).  Miller's 2018 season ranks among the best in program history, setting single-season record with a .486 batting average, 70 hits and 24 doubles.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District award is the fifth in program history and the fourth since 2015.  Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballots with honorees announced in late July.
