Jan. 18, 2022 - North Central College men's track and field student-athlete Jamauri Spivery has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Track Student-Athlete of the Week, earning the first award bestowed by the CCIW for the 2022 indoor season.

Spivery earned the distinction for his efforts in the Cardinal Opener Saturday at Al B. Carius Track, winning the 60-meter dash in a North Central varsity-record time of 6.98 seconds. The time ranks second-fastest among CCIW competitors and is tied for 32nd nationwide among NCAA Division III student-athletes.

Spivery was already the Cardinals' record holder in the event, setting the previous mark of 6.99 in 2021. Last spring, he won CCIW outdoor titles in the 100-meter dash and 4x100-meter relay and placed ninth in the relay at the Division III Outdoor Championships.

The Cardinals host the Snow Day Invitational Friday. No spectators will be permitted but live video and event-by-event results will be available HERE.
