Warrenville, Ill. (Nov. 3, 2022) The North Central College women's cross country team held their own on Thursday finishing second overall in the 4-team field at the Red/White Invitational hosted by North Central College.

Nicole Brandy led the Cardinals through the six-kilometer course finishing in 4th place among 36 competitors with a time of 18 minutes and 31.5 seconds. Julia Benes crossed next in 6th place in a time of 18 minutes and 51.5 seconds, followed by Julianne Billings (18:52.9) in 7th place.

Miranda Baker (19:03.9) and Lauren Belvel (19:12.8) finished together in 9th and 10th respectively. Natalie Nestler (19:36.4) and Paige Runkle (19:45.3) rounded out the Cardinals top-seven finishers in 14th and 15th. 

Washington University won the meet with a score of 19 points, North Central placed second with 36 points. Aurora placed third with 86 points, and Moody Bible Institute in fourth with 113 points. 

North Central returns to competition on Nov. 12th in Geneva, Ill. for the Midwest Regional Championship hosted by Aurora University.
