NVA/AVCA Rankings - Week 5

Feb. 15, 2022 - Despite the fluctuations in this week's National Volleyball Association / American Volleyball Coaches Association (NVA/AVCA) Division III National Rankings, North Central maintained its position at No. 6 in Week 5. The NVA/AVCA coaches poll was released on Tuesday.

North Central extended its season record to 6-0 on Saturday after achieving two three-set wins last week against the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Wednesday and the University of Mount Union on Saturday. 

After five weeks of competition, North Central remains one of two College Conference of Ilinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) schools in this week's rankings with Carthage moving up to eighth. Springfield and Vassar maintain their one and two rankings, while Dominican made big jumps into third moving Stevens and Wentworth down to fourth and fifth, respectively. Rutgers-Newark separates the CCIW foes to sit seventh. Rounding out the AVCA Top-15 are Southern Virginia, NYU, Marymount, Juniata, Nazareth, St. John Fisher, and Randolph-Macon. 

The Cardinals have their first CCIW match-up of the season this evening in Chicago, Ill. against North Park University. Competition is set for 7 p.m. and live links can be found here.
