Mar. 16, 2022 - Andy Hinch of the North Central College men's tennis team was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Player of the Week for his performance in the first two matches of the Cardinals' spring break trip to Orlando, Fla.

Against Bethel University on Sunday, Hinch teamed up with Colten Way at No. 2 doubles to earn a, 8-4 win before defeating the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis 8-2 on Monday. In singles play, Hinch won 6-0, 6-0 over Anirudh Kalathil.

As a team, the Cardinals beat Bethel 7-2 and UHSP 9-0. On the year, Hinch is 10-2 in doubles play while posting a 4-0 singles record. Hinch joins Javier Suarez Balsera and Ramon Vilarroig Martinez as the three Cardinals to be named CCIW Player of the Week this season.

North Central finishes their spring break trip by taking on the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse at 3 PM (ET) down in Orlando, Fla.
