Mar. 28, 2022 - After helping the Cardinals win two straight games, North Central College men's lacrosse player Jake Allgood was honored as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Defensive Player of the week this afternoon. 

Allgood, a Junior from Lisle, Ill, has been the primary leader in net for the Cardinals this season. Allgood helped the Cardinals take down the University of Dubuque as he tallied 11 saves, only giving up two goals and Calvin University as he tallied eight saves while only giving up five goals. He has tallied 76 saves this season while posting a 8.87 goals against average and a .571 save percentage while holding a 3-4 record through seven games. 

Allgood and the Cardinals are back in action on Wednesday, Mar. 30 as they take a short trip to Aurora, Ill to take on the Spartans of Aurora University. The opening face-off is set for 4 pm inside the Spartan Athletic Park.
