Cardinals Ranked 19th Ahead of Indoor Nationals

- The North Central College women's track and field team will enter the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships as the No. 19-ranked team in the field, according to the pre-championship edition of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Rating Index released Monday.

The Cardinals, who claimed a third straight College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) indoor championship Feb. 26 and have qualified six individuals for this weekend's championships in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, accumulated 40.51 points in the index this week. 

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is ranked No. 1 with 165.88 points, followed by Loras College (Iowa) with 144.35. The top 10 is rounded out by Johns Hopkins University (Maryland), Ithaca College (New York), the University of Mount Union (Ohio), Washington University in St. Louis, Wartburg College (Iowa), the State University of New York at Geneseo, the University of Dubuque (Iowa) and the University of Chicago.
