Gianna Corban posted a 4-0 record on the mound in the Cardinals' five games this past week.
The Cardinals went 4-1 over their past five games, winning all four that Corban pitched in. She started three games and stuck out 42 batters and held them to a .182 batting average while posting an earned run average of 0.89 over her 23.2 innings pitched. Corban also recorded two complete-game shutouts to improve to 8-1 on the season.
She ranks first in the CCIW with a 1.29 earned run average and is second in the conference for batters struck out with 94 on the season. Corban is the lone active Cardinal softball player to earn a CCIW weekly accolade and is the 21st player to do so.
North Central takes on Benedictine on Wednesday afternoon as they continue their non-conference slate. Game one of the doubleheader is set for 3 PM at Shanower Family Field with game two to follow.
