Apr. 19, 2022 - Winning his ninth straight singles match and sixth consecutive doubles match on Tuesday, North Central College men's tennis player Colten Way was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.

Way went 4-0 on the week to propel the Cardinals past Carthage, 6-3 on Friday before taking down Wheaton, 5-4 on Tuesday afternoon. North Central improved to 20-2 on the year and 6-0 in CCIW play. With the win over the Thunder, the Cardinals secured the No. 1 seed in the CCIW Tournament.

He is the fifth Cardinal to earn a CCIW weekly award this season and is the 28th player in men's tennis program history to be named a CCIW Player of Week.

North Central closes out the regular season on Sunday by hosting Carroll University for senior day. The match is set to begin at 10 AM with a location to be determined.
