CCIW Release

Apr. 6, 2022 - Posting a perfect 5-0 record for the North Central College men's tennis team this past weekend, Morgan Red earned his first career College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week award, the organization released on Wednesday.

North Central opened CCIW play with wins over Millikin University on Friday and Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday before defeating Principia College in non-conference action Saturday afternoon. 

Red, a senior from Joliet won both of his singles matches 6-0, 6-0 and teamed up with Javier Suarez Balsera at No. 3 doubles to earn three more wins. He is 11-3 in singles action this season, moving around at the No. 3, 5, and 6 positions while posting a 16-1 doubles record on the year. 

The Cardinals return to CCIW action on Friday as they host Elmhurst University. The match is set to begin at 3 PM at Naperville Tennis Club.
