CCIW Release

Jan. 18, 2023 - North Central College men's track and field student-athlete, Jamauri Spivery was named this week's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Track Student-Athlete of the Week after his first-place performance in the 60-meter dash at Saturday's Cardinal Opener.

Spivery is the first Cardinal of the 2023 season to earn this distinction after turning in a 6.93-second 60-meter dash time at North Central's season opener on Saturday. The returning All-American clocked a 7.00 in the preliminary round to win his heat and enter the finals as the No. 1 seed before claiming the event win with his 6.93-second run. The performance currently ranks second in the CCIW and 26th nationally.

Spivery and the Cardinals will be back on the Al B. Carius Track on Friday, Jan. 20 as they host the Snow Day Invitational. Field events are set to start at 4 p.m.
