Women’s Soccer Obtain Six Academic All-District Slots

2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams

Nov. 21, 2023 – The North Central College women's soccer team was honored with all six of their nominees being selected by the NCAA Division III College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.

The nominations were selected by members of the CSC, with selections chosen based on their combined performance on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-District honorees are automatically placed on the CSC Academic All-American ballot.

Sarah Andrey a senior sociology major, obtained her second All-District honor after taking second on the team for goals (17), second in shots (79), tallied eight assists, and three game-winning goals. This also awarded her a first Team All-CCIW selection.

A junior health science major, Madelyn Camaioni is a first-time Academic All-District honoree. This came from a career-high ten shots with five on goal, four assists, capping off with a Second Team All-CCIW selection.

Kaitlyn Cannon a senior elementary education major, obtained her second All-District honor after setting the new program record for career assists (27), providing fifteen assists in the regular-season, and taking twenty-eight shots with sixteen on target. She also clinched her second All-CCIW First Team slot in her career.

Katie Huey a senior management major, gained second in a row All-District honor after scoring six goals, tallying three assists, and taking twenty-two shots with sixteen on goal. She received this honor alongside her second career All-CCIW Second Team selection.

A sophomore sociology major, Kassandra Salviola was honored with her first Academic All-District selection after receiving the coveted CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year award. She gained this honor through four goals, one game-winning goal, two assists, and ten shots with eight on goal.

Elle Sutter a senior health science major, received her second Academic All-District honor after becoming the CCIW's Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year. She obtained this honor after breaking school records in career points (113), single-season points (60), career goals (49), and single-season goals (27). She also recorded eighty-five shots with fifty-five on target, six assists, eight game-winning goals, and a selection to the All-CCIW First Team.

The Cardinals ended a historic 2023 campaign with their first CCIW regular-season title, CCIW tournament crown, and first program appearance in the NCAA tournament. North Central swept the entire CCIW conference with eight shutout wins for the first time in conference history.
