Feb. 28, 2023 - The North Central College men's lacrosse team has been honored by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) as junior attackman Tom Eberhardt was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week for the third time in his career. 

Eberhardt, an Elburn, Ill. native, kicked off his junior season in good fashion as he scored a team-high seven goals while dishing out an assist in the Cardinals 14-3 season opening win over crosstown rival, Benedictine University. His seven goals ranks third in the single-game record book behind his own record of eight goals which he set last season against Benedictine. 

This marks the third time in Eberhardt's career that the CCIW named him an Offensive Player of the week. The Cardinals have claimed 17 CCIW Player of the Week awards since their inception in 2017.

Eberhardt and the Cardinals take a trip to Delawre, Ohio to take on the Battling Bishops of Ohio Wesleyan University at 2 pm CT (3 pm ET) on Saturday, March 4. The Bishops clipped the Cardinals 11-10 in their first meeting last season.
