NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Apr. 18, 2023) - For the second-straight week, the North Central College men's lacrosse team was honored by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) as senior goalie Jake Allgood was named Defensive Player of the Week for the third time in his career. 

Allgood, a senior from Naperville, has led the Cardinals in net this season and helped North Central stay undefeated in conference play with his performance against Transylvania University on Saturday, Apr. 15. Allgood posted a season-high 17 saves, a .708 save percentage, in the Cardinals 13-7 win over the Pioneers. 

Allgood has played in ten games this season, starting nine and has posted a 4-4 record. He has allowed 82 goals for a 10.67 goals against average while tallying 81 saves and compiling a .497 save percentage.

Allgood is third Cardinal to be recognized by the conference this season as Tom Eberhardt was named Offensive Player of the Week on February 28 and Zach Kuyava was named Defensive Player of the Week last week on April 11. 

Allgood and the Cardinals welcome Carroll University on Wednesday night for a CCIW matchup inside Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium. The opening face-off is set for 7 pm.
