CCIW All-Conference Men's Tennis Teams

Javier Suarez Balsera, and
Matthew Sengphommachanh have been selected by the league's eight coaches as All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin players with Vilarroig Martinez and Suarez Balsera earning first-team honors.
Vilarroig Martinez is now a three-time All-CCIW selection as he was also named a first-team honoree in 2022. He finished the regular season with an 15-5 singles record while going 13-8 in doubles play. In CCIW play, Vilarroig Martinez was 1-0 as an individual and 3-2 in doubles as he played in the No. 1 spot all season.
Earning his third straight All-CCIW first-team honor, Suarez Balsera finished with a 6-1 record in conference play with a 3-3 doubles record. Overall, he posted a 14-10 mark in singles, moving back and forth between No. 1 and No. 2 and a 14-12 doubles record.
Sengphommachanh is a first-time All-CCIW recipient as he posted a 7-1 singles record in CCIW play. Overall, he went 13-11 with a 7-2 record at No. 2 singles. In doubles play, he went 17-6 overall with a 5-2 record in conference play.
Since 2018, when head coach Ryan Jump took over the program, 10 Cardinals have been named to All-CCIW teams. In total, 18 North Central men's tennis players have earned all-conference accolades since the CCIW first sponsored men's tennis in 2001.
The Cardinals have earned the No. 1 seed in this weekend's CCIW Tournament. They will face No. 8 Elmhurst University on Thursday morning at the Wheaton Tennis Courts. North Central has swept the five matches against the Bluejays dating back to 2019.
