Apr. 5, 2023 - Matt Crossland collected his first College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Player of the Week after posting a 3-0 record last weekend over Carroll and Carthage.
Against Carroll, Crossland teamed up with Daniel Estanislao at No. 3 doubles securing an 8-2 win. In singles play, Crossland took on Luke Barter at the No. 5. Position. With a tough battle in the first set, he won in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-1). He took the momentum into the second set, winning the set 6-2. In the second match of the day against Carthage, Crossland took on Daniel Jaworski at the No. 6 position. He completed his weekend with a 6-1, 6-2 win.
Crossland's 3-0 weekend puts him at 10-4 overall in singles play and 9-2 in doubles action on the year.
North Central hosts Millikin University on Friday afternoon at Benet Academy. The match time is set for 1 p.m. in Lisle.
