DECATUR, Ill. (Sept. 23rd, 2023)– The North Central College Cardinals women's triathlon team took to the course in the Millikin University College Cup and recorded a first place finish as a team while sweeping the podium.

Hailey Poe was the first person to cross the line in the entire meet in a time of one hour and 7 minutes fifteen seconds. Helping to complete the sweep is Bethany Smeed in second completing in a time one hour and eight minutes and fifty five seconds, as well as Charlotte Kumler finishing in third place finishing in a time of one hour and nine minutes and forty six seconds. The fourth cardinal across the line in fifth place is Scarlett Schuth in a time of one hour and ten minutes and three seconds. The fifth cardinal across is Abigail Anderson in 14th place with a time of one hour and sixteen minutes and eight seconds.  

The North Central College Cardinals scored 215 points for first place, Calvin University scored 158 points for second place, Trine University scored 154 points for third place. 

Cardinals will compete next week in the Tri the Illni in Champaign, IL on October 1st.
