Warrenville, Ill. (Sept 8, 2023) North Central College women's cross-country team helped each other to great times as they pushed each other in the packs. The Cardinals would handle business in their home meet at St. James Farm as they would win the NCCXC Invitational with 26 points. 

The first Cardinal to cross the line leading the pack of Cardinals through this 6,000-meter course was freshman Lily Anderson as she crossed the line in third place with a time of 24.28.5. She was closely followed by fellow freshman Alanya Raunch for fourth with a time of 24.39.5. Other scoring finishers were fifth place finisher Segilola Smith-Pariola(24:40.3), sixth place finisher, Nicole Brandy (24:45.6), as well as eighth place finisher Camdyn Lawson (25:15.5). 

The rest of the top five for team finishers were Harper College with 54 points in second, third place Judson University with 91 points, fourth place Illinois Institute of Technology with 111 points, and in fifth place was Concordia University Chicago with 114 points.  

The Cardinals return to action next weekend on Saturday, September 16th in the Gil Dodds Invitational hosted by Wheaton College.
