2024 College Sports Communicators Women's Soccer Academic All-American Teams
Dec. 11, 2024 – The North Central College women's soccer team received the program's first-ever College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American Team Member selection through
Elle Sutter while
Kassandra Salviola earned a second team Academic All-American slot.
Sutter a graduate student forward for the second season in a row earned a spot on the CSC Academic first team while propelling the program to its first-ever Academic Team Member of the Year selection.
This all comes from a stellar season where she earned her second consecutive CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year Award while leading the program to its second CCIW Tournament victory and NCAA Tournament appearance. Throughout the year she broke program records in career assists (29) and single-season points (68) while earning five of the ten CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week Awards. The United Soccer Coaches (USC) honored her with both a third team spot on the All-American team and a first team selection on the All-Region field.
Representing the Cardinal defense is Salviola on the second team. The two-time CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year earns her first nomination to the field after anchoring the backline to ten shutout victories while tallying nine goals and five assists to earn two Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week Awards. She was also honored last week by the USC with a first team slot on the All-Region field.
North Central completed the season with a 16-5-1 record with only one CCIW loss. They ended the year with their second CCIW Tournament title to make their second appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
