Feb. 27, 2024 – The North Central College men's lacrosse team has been honored with the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week as senior attackman Luke Illgen earns his first career selection.
 
Illgen, a Maplewood, Minnesota Native, opened his senior season at the annual Battle for the Chicago/Maple Avenue Cup against Benedictine University, helping lift the Cardinals to a 16-14 win. He marked off three goals with six shots on goal and four assists.
 
The Cardinals have now claimed twenty-one Student-Athlete of the Week awards since the program began in 2017.
 
North Central returns to Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium on Saturday for their home opener against DePauw University. The match is set to start at 2 p.m. Access the full 2024 schedule here.
