(Jan. 22, 2025)- Abigail Anderson, Charlotte Kumler, and Hailey Poe have been named First Team Scholar All-Americans by the College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) and USA Triathlon for the Fall 2024 season. 

To earn the distinction of First Team Scholar All-American, the student-athletes must have finished in the top 21 of their division at the 2024 Collegiate Triathlon National Championship in Clermont, Florida, as well as have at least a 3.5 grade-point average for the fall semester. 

Poe, who majors in sport management and ethical leadership, capped off the 2024 season with her fourth straight individual national championship and became the first Cardinal in any women's sport (second in any sport) to do so. She completed the course in one hour, five minutes, and three seconds. Poe finished one minute and three seconds before the runner-up. 

Kumler, who majors in biology, finished in third place to earn first-team All-American honors. She finished the course in one hour, six minutes, and 40 seconds. 

Anderson, a sociology major, finished in 11th place at the national championship. She earned All-American honors, finishing the race in one hour, 14 minutes, and 37 seconds. 

North Central was one of four Division III teams to earn three Scholar All-American spots. The Cardinals are on a historic run of three consecutive national championships while having six total since the program's inception in 2016.
