Sam Pryor has been named to his fourth All-America list for the 2024 season as the senior offensive lineman earned a Walter Camp Division III All-America honor, the organization released Wednesday.
The Walter Camp Football Foundation, a New Haven-based all-volunteer group, was founded in 1967 to perpetuate the ideals of Walter Camp, a former Yale University athlete and head football coach, and to continue the tradition of annually selecting an All-America team. They have produced college football All-America teams for 135 years, with their first release in 1889. This marks the first year in the foundation's history that they are releasing a Division III All-America team.
Pryor started all 15 games for the national champion Cardinals this season and 55 over his four-year career. The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Offensive Lineman of the Year helped pave the way for the second-ranked offense with 536.9 yards per game. In addition to the Walter Camp accolade, Pryor was selected as a 2024 All-America by the Associated Press, D3football.com, and the American Football Coaches Association.
The North Central offense, behind stellar offensive line play, was the only team across all NCAA divisions to score over 100 touchdowns, racking up 109 on the season. The Cardinals averaged 52.5 points per contest while rushing for the second-most yards in Division III with 4,468.
The Cardinals claimed their third national championship in five seasons, beating the University of Mount Union, 41-25. The 2024 CCIW champions finished the season 15-0 for the second time in school history.
