NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Oct. 27, 2025) – The North Central College women's soccer team swept this week's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) weekly awards with Jordan Lange taking the offensive honor and Kassandra Salviola earning the defensive award.
 
This week's awards are the fifth and sixth for the Cardinals this season, and mark the third straight week North Central has net the offensive award. Lange earns her second honor of the year and the fourth of her career. Salviola nets her first player of the week award of the season and the fourth of her career as well.
 
Lange and Salviola helped lead the Cardinals to a 2-0 week with a 2-1 win over Illinois Wesleyan University on Wednesday, Oct. 22, before handing North Park University its first conference loss of the season in a 3-0 shutout to earn at least a share of the CCIW Regular Season Championship title.
 
Lange scored two of the Cardinals' three goals in their shutout over North Park on Saturday. Following a foul drawn by Salviola in the box, Lange scored the penalty kick to give North Central the 2-0 lead in the first half. She came back and scored the only goal in the second half and secured the win. Additionally, she had a .875 shots on goal percentage over two conference games this week.
 
In addition to drawing the foul that led to a successful penalty kick in North Central's 3-0 win over North Park, Salviola played a crucial role in the shutout, anchoring a Cardinal defense that allowed only nine shots through the entire contest, and just one goal across two games this week. Salviola solidified her player of the week performance with a header goal off a corner kick entry in North Central's 2-1 win over Illinois Wesleyan.
 
North Central is set to host Wheaton College on Wednesday, Oct. 28, for its final regular season contest. Match time at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
