Oct. 7, 2025 - North Central College defensive end Bobby Medina has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his three-sack performance in the Cardinals' 35–0 victory over No. 14/15 Wheaton College on Saturday, as North Central retained the Little Brass Bell for the fifth consecutive season.

Medina recorded 3.5 tackles for loss and five total tackles. North Central held Wheaton to minus-2 rushing yards and just 148 yards of total offense. His three sacks are the most by a single player in a CCIW game this season and are tied for the third most by a Cardinal in a single game in program history. They also rank tied for 10th most in a Division III game this season.

He joins kicker Aidan Ellison as the second Cardinal to earn D3football.com Team of the Week honors this season. Medina is the seventh defensive end in program history to receive national weekly recognition from the site.

North Central aims to win its 45th consecutive College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin game Saturday night when the Cardinals host Millikin University (2–2, 1–2 CCIW) for a 6 p.m. kickoff at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.
