KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dec. 2, 2025) - For the second consecutive year, the North Central College women's soccer team landed five Cardinals on the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams as Kassandra Salviola, Lily Mattison, and Jordan Lange were selected to the first team, while Madison DeVriendt and Mackenzie Loomis earned second team honors, the organization announced Tuesday.

The Cardinals have had 11 student-athletes selected to All-Region teams since 2018, totaling 22 honors with this year's awardees. The five honorees this year match a team-high honorees from a season ago. Additionally, it is the most selections by a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) school, as the league saw eight total honorees. Elmhurst University, Illinois Wesleyan University, and Wheaton College each had one student-athlete represented on the All-Region teams.

The three-time CCIW Defensive Player of the Year, Salviola picks up her third-straight first team all-region award. A three-time First Team All-CCIW honoree, Salviola started all 22 games and helped lead a Cardinal defense to 10 shutout wins while contributing five goals and one assist in her final season with the Cardinals. The senior defender ranks among the program's top 10 all-time in career goals.

Lange, the CCIW Offensive Player of the Year, earns her second first team all-region award and third honor overall after being named to the third team a season ago. In her junior campaign, Lange led the team in goals (14), and points (37) and shared the team lead in assists (9). She notched four game-winning goals while playing and starting in all 22 games for the Cardinals.

A standout sophomore season for the CCIW Goalkeeper of the Year, Mattison picks up the first all-region award of her career, as she earned a spot on the first team. Mattison set new single-season and career shutout records as a sophomore and posted a career-high 14 saves in an exceptional performance against No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis early in the season. Mattison concluded the season with a 1.01 goals-against average, totaling 75 saves and a .773 save percentage to anchor the Cardinals' defensive unit. In just three seasons so far, Lange has established herself in the program's history, tying for second in career assists (27), while sitting third in career points (95), and fifth in career goals (34).

DeVriendt becomes a two-time all-region honoree after landing fourth team honors last season. DeVriendt ranked third on the team in both points and goals while recording the second-most assists with eight. The junior midfielder played and started in 20 games for the Cardinals with five goals and eight assists for 18 points on the year. DeVriendt is a two-time First Team All-CCIW honoree and already ranks among the program's top five in career assists and is top ten in career points.

Loomis, a crucial piece of the Cardinals' backline this season, picks up the first all-region award of her career. Known for her relentless defensive presence, Loomis helped North Central to its 10 shutouts and limited its conference opponents to just three goals and a .060 shot percentage. Loomis started all 22 games for the Cardinals and contributed two goals for the season.

North Central concluded the 2025 season with a sweep of the CCIW regular season and tournament titles for just the second time in program history. Additionally, the Cardinals made their third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, where they earned the first NCAA Tournament win in program history with a 3-1 victory over Loras College.
