Mar. 25, 2025 - North Central College women's basketball graduate student Megan McClure has been named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selection for the third straight season, while sophomore Jocelyn Trottler earned the honor for the first time in her collegiate career, the organization announced Tuesday.

To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must be at least sophomores with a 3.50 or higher grade point average. Transfers are also immediately eligible if they meet the previous criteria. Athletically, nominees must compete in 90 percent of games played or start in at least 66 percent of games played. Student-athletes are nominated by the institution's sports information departments.

McClure, who played and started all 25 games for the Cardinals, scored 7.8 points per game while averaging 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 0.92 steals per contest for the Cardinals. The master of business administration student shot 47.2% from the field and 90.5% from the charity stripe. McClure scored a season-high 20 points in the season opener at St. Mary's (Ind.) College in an 88-49 victory.

Trotter, a two-time All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin selection, averaged 12.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 1.3 assists per game for the Cardinals. The psychology and marketing double major posted seven double-doubles with a season-high 22 points vs Benedictine University on Nov. 26, 2024, in a 76-63 North Central victory.

McClure is the lone Cardinal in program history to earn multiple CSC Academic All-District honors. Trotter becomes the seventh North Central women's basketball player to be named an Academic All-District selection by CSC. The Cardinals finished the season 10-15 overall with a 6-10 CCIW record.
