May 7, 2025 - The North Central College softball team had four members named to the All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) teams, matching last season's total selections, after a league-wide coaches' vote was conducted and announced on Wednesday.

Ronnie Latka, selected as an outfielder, primarily playing in left field, was selected to the All-CCIW First Team. Across seven conference games played, Latka posted a .500 batting average, a .550 on-base percentage, and a .889 slugging percentage. She hit two doubles, one triple, and one home run and drove in four.

Talia Torosian was named to the All-CCIW First Team as a utility player, playing the majority of her games at third base and shortstop. In 16 conference games, Torosian accumulated 14 hits while posting a .286 batting average, including five doubles. This is Torosian's third All-CCIW Team selection and her first on the First Team.

Hailey Morsovillo earned All-CCIW Second Team honors as a designated player. Mosrovillo batted .364 and drew eight walks in conference play across 12 games. She ranked first among qualified hitters on the Cardinals with an .852 on-base plus slugging.

Juliana Maude made the All-CCIW Second Team, marking her second time earning CCIW honors in as many seasons. Maude posted a 2.10 earned-run average in CCIW play while making seven starts and 13 appearances. She struck out 48 across 60 innings pitched, which put her second in conference strikeouts.

The CCIW also announced the nine winners of its RESPECT Award for the season. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture. North Central's RESPECT Award winner was Sarah Lynch, her second time winning the award.

The Cardinals earned the No. 5 seed in the CCIW Softball Tournament, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University, and will face the No. 4 seeded Carthage College Firebirds on Thursday, May 8, at Inspiration Field at 12 p.m.
