BEAVER FALLS, Pa. (Sept. 20, 2025)- The North Central College women's triathlon team had another strong performance at the Beaver County Tri Cup, finishing first among Division III programs and fifth place overall.
The race, hosted by Duquesne University at Brady's Run Park, featured NCAA Division I, II, and III competitors in a sprint-distance format of a 750 meter swim, 11.8 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run.
North Central reclaimed its spot atop the Division III podium, followed by Trine University in second and Central College in third. Overall, the Cardinals placed fifth, finishing behind the first-place Naval Academy, second-place Duqesne University, third-place Drury University, and fourth-place Delaware State University.
Individually,
Bethany Smeed led the way for the Cardinals, placing first among all Division III competitors and 15th overall with a time of one hour, six minutes, and 16.96 seconds.
Keeley Mick secured second in Division III and 21st overall, clocking in one hour, seven minutes, and 47.25 seconds.
Taylor Robinson completed North Central's top three with a time of one hour, thirteen minutes, and 18.81 seconds, finishing eighth in Division III and 43rd overall.
The Cardinals return to competition Oct. 4 at the Prairie State Cup, hosted by Millikin University at the Clinton Lake Recreation Area in Clinton, Ill.
