NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Jan. 28, 2026) – For the second straight week,
Randy Reed of the North Central College men's track and field team has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Track Athlete of the Week after another record-setting performance at the Aurora Grand Prix this past weekend.
Reed set a new North Central record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.57 seconds at the Aurora Grand Prix, breaking the previous school record that had stood for over 20 years. Reed's time leads the conference and ranks eighth in Division III this season. He also finished third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.91 seconds.
Reed is set to travel to South Bend, Ind., to compete in the 200m at the University of Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational this Friday, Jan. 30. The rest of the North Central men's track and field team will head to Whitewater, Wis., to compete at the Squig Converse Invitational & Multi on Friday and Saturday.
