FEB. 18, 2026 - North Central College men's track & field senior Prentice Myles has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Track Athlete of the Week after a standout weekend highlighted by two personal bests and a conference-leading performance in the long jump.

Myles won the Chicagoland Championships with a personal best long jump of 7.22 meters (23' 8.25"), a mark that now ranks third in program history and 13th nationally in Division III this season. This mark leads the conference by nearly eight inches. He also posted a personal record in the triple jump, landing at 13.81 meters (45' 3.75"), which places him sixth in the CCIW.

This is the Cardinals' sixth CCIW weekly honor of the season and marks the fifth consecutive week with at least one North Central athlete earning conference recognition. The Cardinal 4x400 meter relay team of Zach Anderson, Gabe Parker, Dakota White, and Jake Juneau was honored last week with BJ Sorg, Randy Reed, and Cole Oleson earning weekly honors earlier this season.

North Central hosts the final meet before the CCIW Championships, welcoming nine schools to Al B. Carius Track for the F. Lee Slick Invite on Friday afternoon. The first event is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
