NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Feb. 4, 2026) – For the third consecutive week, the North Central College men's track and field team has earned College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) weekly honors. This week marked the Cardinals' first sweep of the season, as BJ Sorg was named Track Student-Athlete of the Week and Cole Oleson earned Field Student-Athlete of the Week honors.

Racing the 3,000-meter run for the first time this season, Sorg posted a time of 8:24.73 at the Squig Converse Invitational, where he finished third. His time leads the conference by nearly eight seconds, and his banked-track conversion of 8:18.93 sits 26th in Division III this season.

Oleson picks up his first weekly award this season after turning in a first-place finish in the high jump with a 2.06m (6'9") clearance at the Squig Converse Invitational this weekend. Oleson holds the top mark in the conference and ranks tied for fourth nationally.

North Central is set to travel to Bloomington, Ill., on Saturday, Feb. 7, for the Keck DIII Select. The IWU Multi will also take place on Friday, Feb. 6.
