WAVERLY, Iowa/LA CROSSE, Wis. (Mar. 7, 2026) - Competing in a pair of last chance meets, the North Central College men's track and field team sent its sprinters and hurdlers to the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, while four other Cardinals traveled to the Wartburg NCAA Final Qualifier.
In La Crosse, four Cardinals lined up in the 60-meter dash looking to improve their marks. Alexander Knight placed sixth and Danny Eloe finished seventh, each running 6.92 seconds in the final. Randy Reed and Zach Anderson followed in 12th and 13th, both clocking 7.00.
In the 60-meter hurdles, Christian Kokot took 11th in 8.57, and Daniel Nwatu finished 12th in 8.61. North Central wrapped up its day in the 200-meter dash, where Reed ran 22.04 seconds in the opening heat to place fourth overall.
At Wartburg, BJ Sorg won the 3,000-meters, posting a career best time of 8:18.17 to pace the competition. Aidan Armstrong also recorded a career best time in the mile with a 4:14.20 to finish 10th. Ari Elmayan ran 15:07.49 in the 5,000 meters to take 11th in his only event. In the 800 meters, Dakota White posted his best race of the season, finishing in 1:57.27 for 24th place.
The official national qualifier list will be released Sunday on NCAA.com upon completion of all last chance meets around Division III. This year's indoor championships are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
