NAPERVILLE, Ill. (April 8, 2026) – For the second consecutive week, the North Central College men's track and field team has produced the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Track Student-Athlete of the Week, as
Randy Reed earned this week's honor after winning two events at last Tuesday's Wheaton Invitational.
Reed's selection follows
BJ Sorg's award last week and marks the third weekly honor of Reed's career.
Competing in challenging conditions, Reed recorded two event victories in the 100- and 200-meter dashes. He posted conference-leading times in both events, including a 10.62-second finish in the 100m, which ranks fourth in program history. He also clocked a 21.38 in the 200m, placing him 18th nationally in Division III, while his 100m time ranks 35th.
After taking the remainder of the week to regroup, Reed and the Cardinals return to competition at the Chicagoland Outdoor Championships, scheduled for Thursday through Saturday, April 9-11, at Elmhurst University. Another group will compete on Friday, April 10, at the UW-Platteville Invitational in Platteville, Wisconsin.
