Sept. 8, 2026 – North Central College women's soccer forward Jordan Lange kicked off her senior campaign with a selection to the first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Players of the Week installment of the season. Lange helped lead the Cardinals to a pair of strong victories to open the season against opponents either ranked or receiving votes in the national poll.

Facing an Illinois Tech team receiving votes in the preseason poll in the season opener, the senior captain assisted on the go-ahead goal in the 71st minute before converting a penalty kick just two minutes later to help the Cardinals secure a 3-1 victory.

Lange continued her strong week against No. 16 Carleton on Saturday, putting all six of her shots on target before finding the back of the net in the 79th minute with a header off the assist from Madison DeVriendt to give North Central a 1-0 shutout victory.

Saturday's win handed Carleton its first season-opening loss since 2016, while the Cardinals snapped a two-game losing streak against Illinois Tech.

North Central is back at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium tonight at 7 p.m. as the Cardinals host No. 17 Calvin University.
