Sept. 15, 2010 - North Central College women's golfer Alyssa Gaudio has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Player of the Week for the second straight week.

Gaudio earned the distinction after earning medalist honors and leading the Cardinals to victories in tournaments on three consecutive days. She shot a two over-par 74 (a new 18-hole school record) at the Augustana College Fall Classic on Thursday, as the Cardinals won the nine-team tournament with a school and tournament-record score of 314.

She then carded a 76 in leading North Central to a win at the Knox College Invitational on Friday, before concluding her week by shooting a three over-par 75 to lead her team to a victory at the Monmouth College Fighting Scots Invitational on Saturday.

Gaudio has now earned medalist honors in five of the six tournaments in which she has competed this fall, leading North Central to five team victories as well. The Cardinals travel to Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Ill., on Saturday and Sunday for the Illinois Wesleyan University Fall Invitational.
