HOLLAND, Mich. (Sept. 25, 2010)-- An unassisted goal in the 60th minute lifted host Hope College to the 1-0 victory over the North Central College women's soccer team on Saturday in a non-conference clash at Van Andel Stadium.

The two squads battled to a scoreless deadlock in the first half with the Cardinals (4-4) holding a slim 6-5 edge in shots taken.

The game remained scoreless until the 60th minute when Hope's (3-5-1) Raisa Yewah broke free from the defense and blasted a shot into the center of the net for what turned out to be the game's only score.

Cardinal goalkeeper Amy Frazzini stopped three shots on the day while her counterpart Kelsey Bos, turned away six shots for the shutout.

North Central return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 28, hosting Lake Forest College at 7 p.m. inside Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium in the team's final tune-up before conference play begins.
