BOSTON, Mass. (Sept. 3, 2010) - The North Central College volleyball team enjoyed a strong performance in its first outing of the 2010 season, dispatching Simmons College (Mass.), 3-0, on Friday.

The Cardinals were not seriously threatened in any of the three sets, winning by scores of 25-16, 25-13 and 25-16. 

North Central was led by the performance of Ryan Lally, who tied a school single-match record with six service aces and also finished with 30 assists. Amber Ladwig and Jamie Drozd each totaled three service aces, while Kelly Ator and Joelle Lusson shared the team lead in kills with six each.

#Alli Briner turned in four total blocks, including two solo efforts, while Lusson added two block assists.

The Cardinals will play three more matches before leaving the Bay State, participating in the Gordon College Invitational on Saturday. North Central takes on Endicott College (Mass.) at 11 am, Muhlenberg College (Pa.) at 1 pm, and Keene State College (N.H.) at 5 pm.
