Feb. 23, 2011 - Three North Central College men's basketball players have received All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin honors for the 2010-2011 season. The 16 honorees, as nominated and voted upon by the CCIW's eight head coaches, were announced Wednesday.

Appearing on the five-member First Team was North Central's Landon Gamble. The freshman forward currently leads the Cardinals in scoring (14.0 ppg) and ranks second on the team in rebounding (5.3 rpg) while leading the CCIW in field-goal percentage (.578). Gamble averaged 17.8 points per game in conference play, ranking second among all players in the CCIW.

Gamble, the only freshman to receive All-CCIW honors this season, was joined on the First Team by Carthage College's Steve Djurickovic, Wheaton College's Tim McCrary, Augustana College's Kyle Nelson, and Illinois Wesleyan University's Doug Sexauer. Djurickovic was named the CCIW's Most Outstanding Player for the second straight season, and was a unanimous First Team pick along with McCrary and Nelson.
