Sept. 28, 2011 - North Central College sophomore student-athlete Mary Kate Rohn has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Golfer of the Week for Sept. 19-25.

Rohn became the first North Central golfer to receive one of the CCIW's weekly honors after her fifth-place finish at the Millikin University Fall Classic in Decatur, Ill., on Saturday and Sunday. Rohn finished with a 36-hole score of 155, her best two-round score as a collegian, finishing with totals of 77 on Saturday and 78 on Sunday.

Rohn, who established a collegiate career-best score with a 76 in the second round of the Illinois Wesleyan University Fall Classic on Sept. 18, currently ranks third on the team in scoring average (83.5) and has three top-10 finishes in six events this fall.

The Cardinals travel to Joliet, Ill., on Friday for the University of St. Francis Lady Saints Classic at Inwood Golf Course. The CCIW Championships will be contested Oct. 6-8 at Emeis Golf Course in Davenport, Iowa.
